Most Inspiring place you’ve traveled to and how does it influence your style?
It would be a tie between Paris and San Sebastian. The architecture of both are no doubt some of the most beautiful in the world. In San Sebastian they are known for their outdoor sculpture. They often pair a modern sculpture with an ancient building. I love that juxtaposition in design.

What one thing should every home have?
Nightstands on both sides of the bed! They don’t have to match, but they do have to be there. Oh! And a great kitchen.

Book I’d read over and over again?
Another tie. Cold Mountain and Eat Pray Love. Even when I’m not in the middle of Eat Pray Love, I keep it by my bed (on my nightstand, of course) and ever so often I’ll just open it and read a passage to see what little gem I can take away from it.

Most Favorite Thing?
My shoe cabinet! It is beautiful on the outside, with Chinese Chippendale fretwork in gold. It opens to reveal a full length mirror and, of course, SHOES!!

Most Inspiring place you’ve traveled to and how does it influence your style?
When I was a young girl, I visited the home of a very wealthy person. The house was beautifully decorated, and still very comfortable. I remember that even as a little girl the space felt very inviting. I try to keep that in mind for all the projects I work on.

What one thing should every home have?
A comfortable space to relax. A have a chair and ottoman in my living room that in daily- I drink my Oolong tea in the mornings and just center myself for the day.

Book I’d read over and over again?
Money and the Law of Attraction. I picked it up for obvious reasons- but it turns out that it has helped me in all aspects of life. It’s full of advice that I return to constantly.

Most Favorite thing?
My butterfly garden.  It’s a hobby and a pretty thing at the same time.

Growing up in New Orleans has had the most influence on my style. I love all the architecture and antiques. More is always more is what I say!

What is one thing every home should have?
A comfortable room to enjoy being with family. Kid friendly fabrics, easy clean surfaces, cozy and fun.

Book I’d read over and over again?
The Wolf & The Dove
by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss (What can I say, I’m a romantic at heart…)

Most favorite thing?
My car. I drove a “mom-mobile” for 14 years, and after all those years- I was ready for MY dream car!

Most inspiring place you’ve traveled to and how does it influence your style?
Cinque Terre, Italy is by far the most inspiring vacation spot. I love the bright colors of the buildings built on the cliffs over the blue water. It’s a great combination of modern bright colors and natural rustic charm.

What is one thing every home should have?
Every home should have a big comfy couch. It makes a warm safe place for everyone who lives there.

Book I’d read over and over again? I’m more of a movie guy. I still watch every Pixar movie that comes out. My favorite is Finding Nemo.

Most favorite thing? My favorite thing has to be my keys. Everything I’ve worked for, everything I care about, and everything that is part of me is behind a lock. Whether it’s my parent’s house key, my safe key, car key….It’s all on one ring.

Most inspiring place you’ve traveled to and how does it influence your style?
I would say Venice, Italy. I’m lucky enough to have been there twice and each time I was struck by the beauty of the murky teal waters and the terra cotta shaded buildings. It’s a color combo I’ve grown to love. Rich and moody, with lots of life.

What one thing should every home have?
I think your home should tell a story, so whether its travel photos or family portraits, your home should reflect who you and and what makes you tick. For me it’s pictures of the places I’ve been tucked in about every little cranny I can find.

Book I’d read over and over again?
Oh my stars. That’s hard. I devour books. I think I read “The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle” about 7 times as a child. Now? I’m all into fantasy. Magic, vampires, you name it, I’ve read it. I love a series- the longer the better.

Most favorite thing? My Lucchese boots from Texas. Handsdown.
